A new regional link for Montego Bay
LIAT Air has announced plans to expand its Caribbean network with new non-stop services from Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe to both Antigua and Montego Bay. For Jamaica, the more notable development is the direct Guadeloupe–Montego Bay connection, which adds another regional route into the island’s busiest tourism arrival point.
The Montego Bay service is expected to begin in the first week of July 2026 with two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays. LIAT Air said the route will be operated using Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft with 50 seats and is expected to run year-round. Its launch timing also places it just ahead of Reggae Sumfest, one of Jamaica’s best-known summer events.

Antigua remains a strategic piece of the network because it also helps reopen onward access to larger international markets, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
